Abstract

The Sillon was founded a a mass political movement in 1899 by Marc Sangnier (1873-1950).  Sangnier believed, however, that he could reach his goal only by educating the workers of the nation. In this article, Jefferson elaborates on the Sillon as an important education movement as well.
