Abstract

Coad presents "a sort of anthology, admittedly very incomplete, of passages in praise of selected scenic landmarks of the State of New Jersey, arranged in a loose order of geographical progression from north to south."  In this article, he finds historic passages about The Palisades, Greenwood Lake, The Passaic and Its Falls, The Orange Mountains, A Warren County Trout Springs, The Delaware Water Gap, and The Raritan River Valley.
