Cowen discusses a broadside advertisement for a collection of materia medica and related items. published for Smith, Moore & Co. ("a store mixt, various, universal") in 1784. It is the only known copy of it and was acquired by the Rutgers Library. He elaborates on its significance in the history of pharmacy, printing and the American Revolution.Published
