Abstract

Marchand reveals the content and context of business and personal letters written by Walter Theodore Watts-Dunton, a companion and protector of Algernon Charles Swinburne, that are part of the Symington Collection.  The letters written between 1889 and 1907 by Watts-Dunton addressed from "The Pines, "11 Putney Hill, Surrey (where he lived with Swinburne) .
