Charles D. Deshler, druggist, editor, author, and one of the most active political leaders of the Know Nothing Party, left at his death a large body of manuscripts which were the collections of a lifetime of contacts with some of the most prominent Americans of the last half of the nineteenth century. His son Charles Deshler of the Class of 1885, presented this group of papers to the Library.Downloads
